Description

This driver (located in the Core drivers folder) is designed for a specific model of GPS receiver available from eze System. Once connected and powered the GN803 GPS receiver's red LED will light up. With a clear view of the sky, the receiver should get a lock in a minute or two. At this point the LED will start blinking and data should appear on the drivers registers.

Settings

Name - The name is up to the user. Our suggestion is to choose a naming convention that makes the viewing the device list intuitive. Such as referring to the sensor and/or application. Keep the name short as it will be combined with the register name to create the default “Field” name (if added to “Fields”)

Active (Check box) - Check this box and “Save changes” to run the driver. The driver program can be suspended by unchecking the box and clicking on “Save changes”.

Notes - This space can be used to store information specific to the device, such as: location, wiring, scaling, etc.

Wiring connections - Directions for wiring the GPS to the ezeio are provided.

Sensitivity - The accuracy of a GPS location depends on number of satellites in view. If weather or physical obstacles obstruct the reception, it could degrade the location accuracy to the point that it is not suitable for some application. Select the sensitivity option that is best for your needs.
